We are pleased to introduce Zahra Shahim, M.D., a new full time primary care physician at Gateway Medical Center. Dr. Shahim began working with our group on January 3, 2022, please give her a warm welcome!
Dr. Shahim is board-certified in Internal Medicine. She earned her Medical Degree in 1996 at the Shiraz University of Medical Sciences in Shiraz, Iran. Dr. Shahim went on to complete her Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, CA, from 2009 to 2012. Before joining Gateway Medical Center, Dr. Shahim has worked at various clinics in Orange and Laguna Hills.
Dr. Shahim has many professional accomplishments over the years. She served as a lecturer in Women’s Health during her tenure at Azad University in Shiraz, Iran. She has published an online article in the subject of Osteoarthritis. Dr. Shahim has an association with UCLA/David Geffen School of Medicine, where she completed research projects in Atherosclerosis Prevention. She also served in the Rheumatology Department at Loma Linda University, where she completed multiple research projects.
Dr. Shahim is well-liked and respected by her patients because of her caring and reassuring nature. Furthermore, her kind, professional demeanor earns her wide respect among her colleagues as well. Dr. Shahim is married and speaks fluent Farsi. In her spare time, she enjoys jogging, reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Shahim is now available to accept new patients in Gateway’s Anaheim clinic, 710 N. Euclid Street in Suite 301. We are honored that Dr. Shahim has decided to join our team. She will bring her clinical expertise and knowledge in promoting our ongoing efforts to providing the highest quality primary care to our patients at Gateway.
