It is with great pleasure that we welcome Sharma Bishop, M.D. to our esteemed team at Gateway Medical Center, beginning on September 18, 2023. She will serve as a full-time primary care physician, as well as Gateway’s new medical director. Please extend her a warm welcome!
Dr. Bishop is board-certified in Internal Medicine. She earned her Medical Degree in 2009 at the St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. Dr. Bishop went on to complete her Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at Seton Hall University School of Health and Medical Sciences (Formerly known as Rutgers/St. Barnabas University) in South Orange, NJ, from 2009 to 2012. Throughout her training, Dr. Bishop has garnered numerous accolades, honors, and prestigious awards for her unwavering dedication to research and presentations, and for her outstanding academic performance. She also made the Dean’s and Chancellor’s Lists in medical school.
Dr. Bishop is an experienced and devoted physician with years of experience in managing patients in-clinic as well as in outpatient settings, hospital care, sub-acute care, skilled nursing, and urgent care. She also specializes in oversight of administrative responsibilities, academic medicine, risk adjustment and quality care outcomes.
Dr. Bishop is known as a dedicated, thoughtful, and compassionate physician. She is a fierce and tireless advocate in her efforts towards a healthy outcome for her patients. In her spare time, she enjoys writing, poetry, reading, traveling, listening to music, art, volunteering/charity work in humanitarian organizations, nature walks/hiking, and going to the beach.
We are pleased to inform you that Dr. Bishop is currently accepting patients at Gateway’s Anaheim clinic, conveniently located at 710 N. Euclid Street in Suite 301. Gateway is delighted that Dr. Bishop has decided to join our team. Her exceptional expertise and profound knowledge will play a pivotal role in advancing our efforts to provide the utmost quality care to our valued patients at Gateway.
